Connect AI to ShortBoost
With the ShortBoost connector, an AI program such as Claude works directly in your ShortBoost: it creates short links, changes them, searches for links, shows you click counts and fetches QR codes. You simply write what you need. You don't have to copy anything or manage any keys.
What you need
- A Pro or Lifetime plan or a BusinessBoost One account.
- The Admin or Owner role in your ShortBoost. Only they may connect an AI.
- A Claude account where you can add your own connectors.
On a PC (Claude in the browser or the desktop app)
- Add the connector. In Claude, open Settings and go to "Connectors". Choose "Add custom connector". The label may differ slightly depending on the Claude version.
- Name and address. Name: "ShortBoost". Address:
https://api.shortboost.one/mcp. Then "Connect". - Get the connection code. Claude opens the ShortBoost page and asks for a connection code. You'll find it in ShortBoost under Settings โ API keys โ "Connect AI". The code has 8 characters, is valid for 10 minutes and can only be used once. If two-factor sign-in is active, ShortBoost first asks for the current code from your authenticator app.
- Enter the code and choose permissions. Enter the code on the connection page. Then you choose the permissions (see below) and confirm with "Connect".
If your browser is already signed in to ShortBoost and two-factor sign-in is not active, the step with the code on the connection page is skipped.
On your phone (Claude app)
Add the connector once on a PC. After that it is also available in the Claude app. On the go, you can, for example, share a link from the browser to the Claude app and write: "Save this as a link in the Webinar project."
Examples of what you can say
- "Shorten https://โฆ for Instagram, Webinar project."
- "Which links do I have for the launch?"
- "How often was shlk.one/webinar clicked this week, and from which countries?"
- "Give me the QR code for it."
- "Pause the link."
The AI can create and change links, search and view links, get an overview of your account, retrieve statistics for 7, 30 or 90 days and fetch QR codes. The connector only returns statistics in summarized form: clicks per day, countries, devices and origin, never individual clicks.
Permissions
| Permission | What the AI may do | Preselection |
|---|---|---|
| Read | View account, search and view links, statistics, QR code | always included |
| Create and change | Create, change and pause links, sort them into projects | preselected |
| Delete | Delete links | never preselected |
The AI can only delete if you tick that permission yourself when connecting. Even then, Claude asks you before deleting.
Disconnect
In ShortBoost go to Settings โ API keys โ "Connected AI programs" and click "Disconnect" next to the connection. It stops working immediately. The list also shows when a program last accessed your account. We delete disconnected connections after 90 days, and the access log also after 90 days (as with API keys).
Privacy
What the AI program retrieves or creates through the connection is transmitted to that program at your request. Its provider is responsible for the processing there. More on this is in the privacy policy.
If you need your own automation instead of an AI connection, use an API key.
